Crunchy Butter Biscuits / Wheat Biscuits


Ingredients:

  1. Wheat flour - 1 cup
  2. Powdered sugar and Brown sugar - 3/4th cup
  3. Butter - 2 tbsp
  4. Cardamoms -2 powdered.
  5. Milk - as required.
  6. Baking powder - 1 pinch.
  7. Baking Soda -1 pinch.


Method:

  1. Mix all ingredients and knead well like chapatti batter.
  2. Roll it with a rolling pin and cut it in desired shapes. Kids will love to do that with a cookie cutter or we can use lids.
  3. Or simply make small balls and arrange it in a plate with 1 inch gaps. (So that the biscuits have some space to expand)
  4. Keep it in the oven at 200C for 35 mins.
  5. You will know, when to take it out with its wonderful smell.
  6. Healthy, Easy, tasty and crunchy biscuits are ready.
  7. You can keep it in the air tight container for weeks!

Baking powder is mandatory to use Riya..??!!

Yes, we can exclude Baking powder. But the biscuits will be dense!..Instead you can use drops of lime juice.
