Barley Soup

Ingredients: 1.Barley-100g. 2.Water-5 cups. 3.Carrot-1 4.Beans-6 to 7. 5.Jeeragam/babylon(fried and powdered)-1tsp 6.Pepper powder-As req 7.Salt-As req. 8.Ghee-1 tsp. Method: 1.Fry Barley in a Pan and Powder it. 2.Boil water and add powdered barley to it,. 3.Add finely chopped beans and carrot,allow it to boil. 4.Finally add babylon powder and pepper powder,salt as per taste. 5.Mix ghee and serve .

Beetroot Juice

Ingredients: 1.Beetroot-1 no. 2.Lemon-1/2 3.Sugar-2 tsp. Method: 1.Peel off the outer skin of the beetroot and grind it in a mixie with some water. 2.Add lime juice to that. 3Squeeze the  extract as much juice as possible.  4.And then add sugar to that. 5.Serve chilled.

Grape Juice

Ingredients: 1.Grapes-2 cups. 2.Sugar-4 tsp. 3.water-as req. 4.Ice cubes-12-15. Grape Juice Method: 1.Wash the fresh grapes. 2.Blend grapes , ice cubes and sugar  for a minute. 3.Pour in glass and serve chill. Healthy Facts of green grapes: It lowers cholesterol and protect against heart diseases. It is an excellent source of Vit A, C, B6 and K, in addition to essential minerals like potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium and selenium. Grapes contain powerful antioxidants, which slackens ageing. 100 gms of grapes can provide 69 calories.

Semiya Payasam

Ingredients: 1.Semiya(rosted)/Vermicelli -2 cups. 2.Milk - 5 cups 3.Sugar -1/2 cup (or as required) 4.Cashew nuts - 8 - 10 5.Cardamom - 3-4 ( powdered) 6.Raisins -10 -15 7.Ghee- 2 tbsp. Method: 1.Boil milk in a heavy bottomed pan, then add the roasted vermicelli to it and cook till it becomes soft. Keep    stirring. 2.Then add sugar and mix till it dissolves. 3.In a pan, heat ghee and fry cashewnuts and raisins separately and keep it aside. 4.Now add cardamom powder and garnish it with cashew nuts and raisins.

Milk Vegetable Soup

Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups mixed vegetables(Carrot,Beans,Cauliflower,coriander leaves) 1 chopped onion 2 tbsp butter 3 cups milk 1 1/2 tbsp plain flour /maida(Optional). Method: Heat the butter and fry the onion for 1 minute. Add the vegetables and fry again for 2 to 3 minutes. Add 1 teacup of water and cook until the vegetables are soft. Mix the flour and milk, heat for a little while and add to the vegetables. Serve hot.

Strawberry Milkshake

Ingredients: Strawberry - 10 to 15 Chilled Milk - 2 cups Sugar - 2 tsp or as per taste preference Icecubes - 2 small cubes (optional) Method: 1.Chop the strawberries roughly. Blend strawberries,sugar and icecubes together to a coarse paste. 2.Then add milk and blend it till frothy and smooth. 3.Serve chilled with freshly cut strawberry slices.

Kulkandhu Milk shake

Ingredients Gulkand - 3 tsp Chilled Milk - 2 cups Sugar - as required Vanilla Icecream - 1 scoop ( optional - I did not use ) Rose essence - 1/4 tsp Rose/pink colour - 1/4 tsp (optional - I added to give mild colour ) Method: 1. Mix the Chilled milk and Gulkand. 2.Soak almonds in hot water for 15mins,set aside. 3.In a mixer add milk,almonds,sugarrose essence and pink colour. 4.Then blend it till smooth. 5.Serve chilled...!

Apple MilkShake

Ingredients: Apple - 1(skin peeled and chopped into cubes) Chilled Milk - 2 cups Almonds - 5 Honey - 1 tsp Sugar - 2 tsp Method: 1.Soak almonds in hot water for 15mins,set aside. 2.In a mixer add milk, chopped apples,almonds,sugar. 3.Then add honey and blend it till smooth. 4.Serve chilled...!
