Pala Musu Porriyal/curry

Ingredients:

  1. Raw jackfruit-small 1/2
  2. Onion Big -1
  3. Turmeric -1/4 tsp
  4. Salt- As needed
To grind
  1. Coconut- 3 tblsp
  2. Coriander seeds -1 1/2 tbslp
  3. Pepper -1 tsp
  4. Jeera- 1 tsp
  5. Red chilli- 2 nos.
  6. Garlic -2
To temper
  1. Oil- 2 tblsp
  2. Mustard -1 tsp
  3. Urad dal- 1 tsp
  4. Curry leaves -1 sprig



Method:

1.First remove the thorny green skin part of palamusu and chop into small pieces
2.Take a bowl of water with buttermilk to immerse the chopped veggie to prevent decolorisation.
3.Put water with salt, turmeric ,finely chopped veggie in a cooker for 3 to 4 vissels.
4.Grind coconut,coriander seeds,pepper,cumin seeds,red chilli and garlic to a corase paste.
5.Mix this Paste with the boiled(Pressure cooked) veggie.
6.In a Pan Pour oil,add mustard(Allow it to pop),onion(Chopped),urud dal and curry leaves.
7.And then add the mixed veggie and stirr well.
8.Keep stove in medium flame for 15 mins.
9.palamusu side dish is ready for serving.

Crunchy Butter Biscuits / Wheat Biscuits

Ingredients: Wheat flour - 1 cup Powdered sugar and Brown sugar - 3/4th cup Butter - 2 tbsp Cardamoms -2 powdered. Milk - as required. Baking powder - 1 pinch. Baking Soda -1 pinch. Method: Mix all ingredients and knead well like chapatti batter. Roll it with a rolling pin and cut it in desired shapes. Kids will love to do that with a cookie cutter or we can use lids. Or simply make small balls and arrange it in a plate with 1 inch gaps. (So that the biscuits have some space to expand) Keep it in the oven at 200C for 35 mins. You will know, when to take it out with its wonderful smell. Healthy, Easy, tasty and crunchy biscuits are ready. You can keep it in the air tight container for weeks!
